Farm, Shepherds' Huts, Cottage and Fishery

Morndyke has been the family home of the Phillips’ for more than 100 years. Having been passed through the generations, it is currently in the care of Alan and Tricia Phillips.

The farm initially quarried clay to make bricks, which has now formed our beautiful 2 acre fishing lake. As well as the fishing lake, Morndyke is also a working arable farm producing wheat, barley and hay.

The farm is home to a selection of rescued sheep, cats and poultry, parrot sanctuary and competition and retired horses. Riding lessons take place on our 60 x 32 metre arena which can be booked separately. Two Cavalier King Charles spaniels also call it home.
A beautifully designed, single storey cottage lies on the East side of the old farm house. Its windows, patio and garden look out over farmland to the Hambleton hills in the distance. The garden is completely enclosed, private and dogs are welcome. Fully equipped to a very high standard, the cottage is furnished in Barker & Stonehouse, Laura Ashley, Emma Bridgewater and the like. Underfloor heating, Wi-Fi and a smart TV come as standard in this beautiful cottage.
Morndyke's award-winning Shepherds’ Huts glamping site nestles in the corner of the farm, just next to the beautiful and peaceful 2-acre coarse fishing lake. The site looks over miles of farmland up to the iconic Hambleton hills in the distance.

Each hut is hand crafted to an exceptionally high standard and provides second-to-none comfort and luxury. Recognised by Visit England as providing ‘Service Excellence’, the site has been granted the once-in-a-lifetime ROSE award.

The site is adults only and dog friendly, offering a 5* glamping experience. Relax in the privacy of your own outdoor space and watch the natural world pass slowly by, or snuggle up next to the wood burning stove and enjoy listening to the weather outside.
Morndyke Fishery is a two acre lake that is stocked with mirror & common carp, barbel, roach, green and golden tench and chub as well as eels and an array of water birds.

Aerated through the night in summer to oxygenate the water, the lake sustains a vast number of fish that range in size from 3lb roach to 28lb carp. There are 27 platforms (pegs) to fish from, all of which can be accessed easily from the path around the lake.
